"I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THAT IF CHILDREN ARE GIVEN THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO SUCCEED, THEY WILL
SUCCEED BEYOND THEIR WILDEST DREAMS!

International Friends

Sara and Greta, German volunteers who left us in March 2020, returned to serve and visit us this month. They arrived, undeterred, amidst the chaos and destruction in Empangeni caused by the rioting and looting. They brought joy and fun into a difficult time and were a great distraction for the children, who were on school holiday. It is always a pleasure having previous volunteers with us. They slot into our daily routine, assume "their duties" with ease and are such a blessing and help to us all. Thank you girls for taking the time to visit us in South Africa.

Responding to a Crisis

We joined the street clean up crews after the riots and looters destroyed our town. Followed by packing food parcels for those affected by the devastation. These were powerful moments for our children to witness the destruction and to be a part of giving back to a community that blesses and cares for them unconditionally.

Crafting with a purpose

We received a previously loved sandart kit without the cards. Without hesitation, Sandart sent us a pack of cards for our kids to do this craft as teacher thank you notelets.

Half a Century

A milestone birthday worth celebrating! What fun it was to party like a child. Letting your hair down and simply having a blast is easy with kids, as this is thei normal.. Jumping castle, crown, ballons, cake, braai... nothing was spared!

Holiday Adventures

School holidays are an opportunity to get out and about. A firm favourite is a trip to the farm for a long walk, pony rides and picnic while enjoying the animals and getting some sunshine.

Arboretum Primary gifted us with a soccer kit which we took to Alkanstrand Beach recently. After enjoying time at the skate park the kids played soccer.

Dear Friends

It has been a very trying time for us in South Africa, as many of you are aware of the political unrest we experienced in July. God has His hand of protection over each of us and has provided for our daily needs to overflowing that we have in turn blessed others facing dire need. We extend our gratitude to our community, local and beyond, who have come along side us in this time.
