GIVE, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU. A GOOD MEASURE, PRESSED DOWN, SHAKEN TOGETHER AND RUNNING OVER, WILL BE POURED INTO YOUR LAP. FOR WITH THE MEASURE YOU USE, IT WILL BE MEASURED TO YOU. LUKE 6:38

Blessed by RBCT

RBCT responded to the looting that took place in July, by donating groceries to a number of entities in our community. We were on the receiving end of this great initiative and were totally blown away by their genrosity. We were joined by a team of RBCT management, who quickly rolled up their sleeves to offloaded the truck together with us. Their canteen staff whipped up a delicious spread for lunch. Thank you RBCT for your kind and generous gifts and the lovely time we spent together!

Therapy Time

Group Therapy sessions Social Worker are vital for the emotional, psychological and social growth and well-being of our children in order to assist them to navigate through life and overcoming obstacles that stem from past trauma and the effects of living in an institution. Group-work helps one realize you're not alone and facilitates the giving and receiving of support. This is a place where one can think, feel and learn to express oneself, which can be very healing. Relationships can be affected by past and present traumatic events and group therapy can help one practice interacting with other people in a safe space, and learn that how people communicate has an effect on others.Group therapy provides one with a sounding board and with social support outside of one's inner circle, helping one to work through situations. It can also help one manage mental health conditions or work through difficult experiences with a group of people who are working through similar issues and toward similar goals.

“A big part of the group therapy experience is recognizing that others are struggling with very similar emotions and circumstances, so it’s helpful to have that support,” says Dr. Allison Chase.

Outdoor Fun

We are one great, BIG family. The kids play so well together and often the older children are found playing with and enjoying time with the youngsters and babies. The occassional strife is quickly resolved and amends made. I love how the children are resourceful and use their imagination when playing and how they enjoy exploring and discovering all that nature has to offer!

The "Elsa" Twins

Celebrating twin girls turning 4 with Disney's Frozen Theme. The girls have been asking for Elsa dolls since Christmas last year. So making this dream a reality was simply a MUST for me. We (twins and I) prayed for clear skies as they wanted to have the jumping castle up. This was a faith stretching time for me, and them, as I drove to work with my wiper blades swishing at full speed and the rain bucketing down from dark grey skies! BUT GOD! The sun came out around 10am and we had the most perfect day for an outdoor party! I love how our Heavenly Father knows our every heart's desire and longs to bless us in little ways such as these!

Spring Day

Dear Friends

The words "thank you" seem so insignificant as we thank our Heavenly Father for His abundant supply of our every need and more. We are in awe as we are reaping the harvest. His word is clear that "with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" when we give. And, the more we are blessing the community and other charities, that we network with, the more we are blessed. Together we are reaching those in dire need, the lost, the hungry and hurting. We pray that the seed we sow with not return void.

Thank you to each person, company, organisation and church that is investing into the works of our hearts and hands at iKhaya. We love and appreciate you all.

Do look out for our Back to School Champaign and the Year End Staff Outing. Your contribuitions towards these projects will be awesome!

With love and greetings
