Jenny Ezenwokedi

Hello everyone!!
My name is Jenny and I spent 11 months, working as a volunteer, at iKhaya LikaBaba.
From the first minute of being in South Africa, I was welcomed with open arms and open hearts. There was not a single moment for me where I didn't feel wanted or cherished.
I was amazed to see people dedicating their lives to the kids, loving them and caring for them in any way possible.
I am more than grateful that I was given the oppurtunity to spend 11 months with amazing people who taught me more than I could ever imagine.

“Because their lives are precious to him“ Psalm 72,14
Hey, I am Sarah! I am from Germany and I spent 11 months at iKhaya LikaBaba. When I arrived at iKhaya I didn’t know anyone and was very insecure about what would happen in the months ahead. Let me start off by saying… It was the best 11 months of my life! I got used to my duties very quickly and I had so much fun being part of the kids’ daily lives and to help everybody at iKhaya, wherever help was needed. It was so good to see how much fun the kids had and how thankful they were when we organised special fun activities or outings for them.
All these precious moments I had with them are saved very deep in my heart. I am so glad that iKhaya gives these precious wonderful kids the opportunity to grow up in such a wonderful environment and that it also gave me place to grow.
At this point, I just want to say thank you! Thank you to everyone who cares so much about the kids and the volunteers at iKhaya. All these people have a very special heart and I really appreciate them! They know that all these little lives are so precious to our God. Thank you!
Now I am back in Germany and just miss the kids and everybody else so much but I hope I can come back soon.
Be blessed!
