Dear friends
What a vibrant and fulfilling month it’s been! I’m especially proud of our teens who shone at The Market, showcasing not only their creativity but also their growing entrepreneurial spirit.
They learned valuable lessons in teamwork, customer service, and the joy of earning through effort. A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors who made the Tombola stall such a hit, your fantastic prizes brought so much excitement and joy!
Congratulations to Christopher Kennedy who was the delighted and deserving winner of the original art piece donated by local artist Bronwyn Stewart!
With exams behind us and school officially out, we’re celebrating the hard work and dedication of our learners. Their reports reflect their commitment, and we couldn’t be prouder. Our high school teens are currently enjoying Youth Camp, while the younger ones had a blast at the Empangeni Baptist Holiday Club. Next week we’re looking forward to a fun-filled holiday programme and meaningful Mandela Day celebrations before we gear up for the third term of the academic year!
We’re also preparing to say goodbye to our incredible volunteers this July. The time has flown by far too quickly and we will miss them dearly! We are deeply grateful for their servant hearts, their compassion, and the wholehearted way they’ve poured into the lives of our children. You are so appreciated and will leave a lasting mark on iKhaya!
Auf wiedersehen, and thank you both from us all!
Thank you to the many sponsors and friends who journey with us, it’s your support that makes these moments possible.
Greetings from
Loressa and the iKhaya Team
