Dear friends of iKhaya
2026 is well underway and our hearts are full of gratitude and excitement. After an action-packed summer holiday, it’s ‘Back to School', with 15 learners attending from Grade RR through to Grade 11. It is always a joy to see our children returning to their routines, eager to learn and grow.
We are especially proud of Jabu, who is back at NWU completing her second year of studies, and of Lulu, who continues to make us proud as she builds her future through internships and ongoing training. Watching our young people take confident steps toward their dreams is incredibly rewarding.
A special thank you goes to Thandiswa, a local teaching student, who generously gave her December holidays to volunteer with us. She assisted with the holiday programme, in the stores, and within the ECD programme. It was truly encouraging to see a local student dedicating her entire holiday to serving and
supporting our children. We wish her all the best for her 4 and final year of studies!
Looking ahead, planning for the Shap Baby Project is underway. Keep an eye out for the launch of our supporter T-shirts, and please contact us if you would like to join as an athlete to help raise awareness and much-needed financial support for iKhaya.
Thank you to each person, church and company who partners with us on the mission to raise our children. Having you on this journey with us, to celebrate a birthday, to feed and nourish the children, or financially support the many needs in running our home, makes our work possible! We appreciate you and your hearts to serve and sow into the Kingdom.
Greetings from
Loressa, The Board, Staff and Children
