Psalm 91:2 “I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"

Outing to the Unizul Science Centre

''Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.'' - Benjamin Franklin

Our school kids were invited to visit the Unizul Science Centre this month. The members of the centre organised a special program for our kids, teaching them about interesting plants and about a variety of musical instruments and how to use them. It was wonderful to see how our kids had the opportunity to participate in the program especially by playing these different instruments! Thank you Unizul Science Centre for such a special day!

Fun Day at St Catherine´s Pre-School

Like every year, St Catherine's Pre-School organised a Fun Day for children, offering horse rides, face-painting, crafts and so much more. The highlight of the day was the magic show with objects disappearing and eggs being magically laid. Two of our kids were brave enough to participate in a magic trick and Jenny our German Volunteer laid an egg. Needless to say our kids had a splendid time, enjoying themselves and the many activities St Catherine's had to offer.

Eagle Creek Spur came on board to spoil us too! We enjoyed their delicious burgers four lunch. Thank you Spur and St Catherine’s for making our day one filled with great memories, loads of fun and much laughter!

Different Kind of Walk

We are very blessed to be located next to a farm with horses. Our preschool kids fell in love with the horses and are more than excited when they have the opportunity to go for a walk and visit them. However on this occasion they didn't end up walking... instead they were given a luxurious ride on the back of a bakkie. To say they enjoyed it is an understatement!

Homework Centre
We currently have 12 school going aged children attending local schools for grade R to grade 5. As you may imagine, homework time is a real challenge especially seeing as some of our kids need extra one-on-one time to improve in reading and maths and through extra OT at home.

If you are a teacher or mom who would love to invest time in our homework centre we would love to hear from you!

Needs: August 2018

Every gift meets a need!

It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child and I believe that this is hugely true of us raising the children within a caring and generous community (local and worldwide) who enable this process of raising the kids to be whole, well adjust individuals who will in turn be assets to our community and serve our God, their Father. We have increased our capacity from 20 to 25 children! If you share our excitement and want to come on board to meet some of our needs please contact me directly.
